Do I really have to give my name and address to receive packages?

You're probably shaking your head now and thinking, "Of course you have to!" This thought is perfectly understandable. But do you really have to?

Since SUB ROSA came into existence, the answer has been "no".

Until now, there was no way to receive packages without giving your name and/or address. There was and is no legal obligation to do so. We can only speculate about the reasons. It probably has something to do with the fact that many companies have realised that collecting and selling data is a very lucrative business..

We don't want your data!

We provide you with a pseudonym and our business address, which you can use as the delivery address for your mail. This way, no one will know your name or where you live. You remain 100% anonymous.

Data protection

Why is my data important?

In the age of digitalisation, data protection is becoming increasingly more important. Legal regulations lag behind and do not always sufficiently protect highly personal data. Data has become a valuable commodity with which companies can use to earn a lot of money. As a consumer, you are often forced to disclose your data - with apps, in online trading and not least when receiving postal items.

Upon request companies have to tell you what personal data of yours they have stored and for what purpose. They also have to delete it if you ask them to. At this point, however, you have already disclosed your data.

We start much earlier –

...because for us, data protection means: no data is the best data.
We give you the opportunity to actively do something for the protection of your data. When you use our service, you remain anonymous and do not have to trust that companies take the protection of your personal data seriously.

Data sovereignty

Do I need it?

The problem is that, on the internet, a lack of data sovereignty on the internet can have very real consequences for you. For example, it is no longer a dystopian vision of the future that your life insurance premium will increase because your smartwatch says you don't exercise enough or your loyalty card says you eat too unhealthy.

The EU General Data Protection Regulation has made an important contribution to the protection of personal data. Nevertheless, international tech companies continue to exploit legal grey areas and make it difficult or impossible to understand what ultimately happens to our data. The data trade is flourishing. States have also recognised the power of data.

For you as a consumer, this means that despite existing laws, your human right to privacy on the internet is not always respected. That's why you have to be careful to whom and where you disclose personal data. At the same time, smart technologies are invading our most personal lives and increasingly shaping our everyday lives. Online shopping, smartwatches, apps, various social media channels - control over your personal data is becoming more and more difficult when you are pressured to disclose it in all areas of your life. One hundred percent data sovereignty seems only achievable by withdrawing from the digital. However, social constraints make this almost impossible.

At SUB ROSA, we make it possible for you to do just that. We are the only service provider in the field of postal delivery that really cares about your data sovereignty, because when you use our service, you don't even have to provide your personal data. So you remain 100% anonymous and have full control over your data.
